Dr. KARTHIK GUNASEKARAN

Mangayar Malar takes great pride in introducing to the women of Muscat, Dr.Karthik Gunasekaran, a leading Urogynecologist and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgeon.

Dr.Karthik, is one of the five Fellowship trained Urogynecologists in the country. He has given innumerable talks on Urogynecology over television channels and frequently writes medical articles on Urogynecology in various leading newspapers. A keen academician, he gets invited frequently for giving guest lectures in Uronynecology both in India and abroad.

Young Dr. Karthik has many more laurels to his credit. What we at Mangayar Malar value most, is his four month interactive column that appeared in the pages of Mangayar Malar very recently. The column evoked tremendous response from the readers of Mangayar Malar and was a roaring success. Above all, Dr.Karthik and his mother Dr. (Mrs.) G. Lakshmi are well wishers of Mangayar Malar and the KALKI Group.

Dr. K. Meena

Dr. K. Meena’s role as Principal / Director of Srimathi Indira Gandhi College for women small part of her academic excellence and achievements detailed in her nine page bio-data!

A dynamic and committed academician, Dr.Meena is also a writer and social activitist. Her very breath is upliftment of women and, towards this, she continues to march ahead with zeal, enthusiasm and national fervour. No wonder this has brought Dr.Meena much closer to Mangayar Malar. The vision that we share is common. Paths may differ but the goal is one – empowerment of women.

We at Mangayar Malar are poud to say that, Dr.Meena’s latest achievement as coordinator of the various intercollegiate contests that Mangayar Malar is holding across Tamilnadu, is another feather in her cap. May be Dr.Meena will soon have this role of her’s listed in her bio-data!

When Mangayar Malar approached Dr.Meena and requested her to be part of the team that visited Muscat Tamil Sangam, she readily and whole-heartedly accepted not just to deliver an address on the educational opportunities in Tamil Nadu today, but also willingly stated that she would help us organize and conduct the day-long programme.
